A Dartmouth man was arrested after a police chase yesterday afternoon. They tried to stop a vehicle as it approached Pleasant Street on the Circ around 5:00. It wouldn’t, and fled. Police stopped chasing for safety reasons, but found the vehicle at a Lakefront Drive residence. The suspect didn’t come out of the home at first, but eventually did. The 33-year-old is due in court today.

Vigil
Mayor Savage is inviting members of the community to a candlelight vigil this evening in honour of members of the Ste. Foy, Quebec, mosque who lost their lives, as well as those who sustained injuries in Sunday night’s attack.
The vigil will begin at 6:00pm in Grand Parade Square in front of City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax
The vigil is an opportunity to come together in the spirit of peace, unity and compassion. All are welcome.
