A Halifax woman has been sentenced for defrauding her former employer. 49-year-old Suzanne Carol Laframboise was given a conditional sentence, three years’ probation and restitution after pleading guilty to four charges. Incidents were between 2012-2014 when Laframboise worked at Ocean Yacht Sales, with the employer getting bilked for $130,000.

Fishermen charged for alleged mistreatment of seal
Three fishermen face charges after a video of apparent seal mistreatment made the rounds. It was filmed on a boat off Yarmouth, and DFO was told about it this week. The men are due in court April 3rd for plea.
