Free WiFi downtown will be in place by summer. Council voted 9-8 in favour of it yesterday, with plans to have it on the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts, as well as the Grand Parade and library areas.

City hands out tickets during parking bans; reminds to honour them
The city is reminding you to honour the overnight parking bans after hundreds of tickets were just handed out. 710 were given during the last two bans, with the fine being $50. Don’t park on the street when they’re on.
