Police found the body of a man buried under some snow in Cape Breton late yesterday.
They got a call from family concerned about a 66 year old man on Chapel Road in the Huntington area. After a search by ground search and rescue his body was found under the snow near his vehicle. He has been sent for an autopsy but foul play is not suspected.
The snow clearing efforts continued on the weekend…helped by the warm temperatures yesterday melting snow…at least on the pavements.
The snow banks are still pretty high, however….and covering hydrants… which is a concern for the fire department. If you know where the hydrant is near your home, you might want to clear the snow away from it so fire fighters don’t waste several minutes frantically digging through snow to get to the water if there’s a fire in your home.
