Auditor General Michael Pickup says the Nova Scotia Health Authority hasn’t adopted most recommendations to reduce hip and knee surgery wait times. His new report says two of seven have been adopted, and the province still has the longest wait times in Canada for those surgeries. The national goal is to get them done within about six months, but most Nova Scotians could wait two years.

Teacher applications now being taken for Council to Improve Classroom Conditions
Teachers can now apply online to be part of the new Council to Improve Classroom Conditions. They’ll get input on how $20 million will be invested during the next two years, with priorities including the student attendance policy, complex classrooms and class sizes. Applying can be done via the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development website, with next Tuesday being the deadline
