Burrill takes McNeil to task over health care

NDP Leader Gary Burrill was startled to hear Premier McNeil say in Question Period there’s no health care crisis.

Burrill, in a release, said there are over 100,000 Nova Scotians without a family doctor. There are overcrowded E-Rs, two to three year waits for surgeries. If that isn’t a crisis, Burrill says, what will it take for the Premier to pay attention.

Help for first-time home buyers

Ottawa and the province are teaming up to offer first time home buyers an interest free loan they can use as their down payment.

Applicants must have a household income of less than $75,000 a year. This is only a one year test project.
