Free naloxone kits are set to be publicly available as of September 1st. They’ll be at 300 community pharmacies across Nova Scotia, with Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang saying the province is still studying whether other measures to curb opioid deaths will be brought in. Fatality numbers will also be posted online, and first responders will share more information with each other.

Farm Practices Review Board has hearing about Lucasville farm
It could be another two months before a decision is made on changes to Memento Farms in Lucasville. Some local residents are bothered by the smell, and the province’s Farm Practices Review Board has heard from both sides after a hearing. It now has 60 days to rule on the issue.
