The province is buying 10 more P3 schools. Yesterday’s announcement brings the total bought to 37 of 39, with two being given back to developers. Auditor General Michael Pickup had blasted the government’s handling of the schools’ future in his report last fall.

Province approves special warrants for capital spending, operating
The province has approved special warrants of $1.06 billion for capital spending and operating expenses. Special warrants provide funds for government when there is no budget, and are common and necessary before budgets are passed in the fall. The government had two previous special warrants this fiscal year.
