NB fire

A forest fire on the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick has forced the evacuation of about two dozen people from their homes on Miscou Island.

At last report, the out of control blaze covered over 90 hectares. Dozens of fire fighters are battling the blaze along with water bombers. How it started isn’t known but it appears to have begin near a shed or garage.

BC fires and the PM

Prime Minister Trudeau will take a first hand look at the fires in BC today.

Trudeau and several of his cabinet ministers will join Premier John Horgan at Williams Lake for an update on the situation. The evacuation order there was lifted last week…but at least 150 fires are still burning across the province and about 6,000 evacuees can’t go home.
