Several people have been displaced by a late-night fire in Truro. A house with four apartments suffered extensive damage around 11:00, with the Red Cross helping out at least one tenant. Another man has made his own accommodations, and the other units were either vacant or had no one home at the time.

Half of region has lunch at desk: study
A new study suggests half of Atlantic Canadians eat lunch at their desk at work. 50% of respondents said that, above the national average of 40%, with 68% saying they’re alone for lunch. The study was led by a food distribution and policy prof at Dalhousie University.
