A Cole Harbour woman has elected Supreme Court judge alone for her fraud trial. 52-year-old Iris Doreen Procenko faces 18 counts for allegedly defrauding people and corporations of about $425,000 over four years. She owned Maritime Property Management and Secure Property Management, which are no longer in business.

Five years for drug, weapon charges
A Halifax man got five years in jail for drug and weapon offences. 36-year-old Tyrell John Holland had pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possessing a prohibited firearm. He was arrested after a residence search in 2014.
