A Bayers Lake business was evacuated this morning after a suspicious package was found. Police responded to Miller Waste Systems on Horseshoe Lake Drive when staff came across the package, which was deemed not to be a threat.

Four charged in home invasion
Four men have been charged in yesterday morning’s home invasion on Acadia Street. A resident was treated and released from hospital, and police say the victims were not the intended targets. 21-year-old Shaquean James Bowden and 19-year-old Anthony Alfrado Corradini of Halifax, and 28-year-old Darcy Raymond Delbert Caldwell and 31-year-old Kerry Lee Sampson of Windsor face multiple charges.
