Two people will be in court today after a homicide in Dartmouth.

35 year old Nadia Gonzales was killed in an apartment on Hastings drive and a man was seriously injured Friday night. Police arrested five people but released three without charge.

They have charged 23 year old Calvin Maynard Sparks of Dartmouth and 19 year old Samanda Rose Ritch of Halifax with first degree murder, attempted murder and other counts.

A 40 year old man was stabbed yesterday evening in Dartmouth.

The victim was stabbed in the abdomen in the area of Thistle Street and Wyse Road around 6:30. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Victim told police a group of 7 teens surrounded him, asking him for cigarettes then one of them stabbed him and took his backpack.
