Several drivers were busted for not having insurance after police caught them doing burnouts in a Sackville parking lot. RCMP responded to Sackville Drive Sunday evening, checked each vehicle and found seven uninsured drivers. Fines in excess of $8900 were issued.

Murder charges
A man and woman have been remanded in custody for now on first degree murder charges with their next court appearance July 24th.
23 year old Calvin Maynard Sparks of Dartmouth and 19 year old Samanda Rose Ritch of Halifax were in court yesterday in connection with the death of 35 year old Nadia Gonzales in a Hastings Drive apartment. A 69 year old man was also seriously injured.
