Sawmills and woods workers are bracing for another hit from the U-S today.
More American duties is expected to put on softwood lumber imports from some smaller producers. They were already hit by duties up to 24% in April…and now five of them are expected to be hit by another 10% levgy. Some companies have already closed mills.
A horrific explosion in Pakistan has killed 153 people including women and children.
Hundreds of residents of a village had gathered when an overturned oil tanker started leaking fuel. They were gathering it up in cans when it exploded. It’s believed a spark from all the cars and motor bikes that were rushing to the site to collect the leaking fuel ignited it. There’s also a report someone may have struck a match to light a cigarette.
