Teens charged in Dartmouth stabbing

Five teens in Dartmouth have now been charged in connection with a stabbing two Sundays ago.

A 16 year old boy was arrested in connection with car break-ins on Monday June 19th. He’s been charged with that, assaulting police and resisting arrest. During their investigation, police determined he may have been part of a gang of youths who swarmed and stabbed a 40 year old man near Wyse Road and Thistle on June 18th. He was treated in hospital.

Now police have charged four other teens, two boys and two girls ranging in age from 14 to 17, in connection with the stabbing.

Accessory to murder sentence

A 32 year old man has been sentenced to four years in prison for helping to get rid of a murder victim’s body.

The Chronicle Herald reports George Edward Hubley was sentenced for helping to dispose of the body of Catherine Miller after she was murdered in the summer of 2014.

Jason Johnson and Kelly MacDonald pleaded guilty to her murder last year. Hubley helped them chop up her body and dispose of it in garbage bags.
