U-S election – Stock markets

Stock markets started falling yesterday in anticipation of a Trump Victory. Futures markets plummeted. So did Asian stocks and oil prices.

Wall Street is concerned about Trump’s financial policies being less clear than Clinton’s. Some say markets will face chaos and turmoil in the coming days because of uncertainty over Trump’s economic policies.

U-S election – Canada

The U-S ambassador to Canada predicts relations between the two countries will continue to be strong.

Bruce Heyman host a viewing party at the U-S embassy in Ottawa last night and said, before the election outcome was clear, that regardless of  who won, the two countries will continue to be best friends, allies and trading partners. However, one of Trump’s key campaign promises was to rewrite NAFTA.
