Kids Up Front Foundation has announced the launch of Kids Up Front Atlantic. Scotiabank Centre will be the premier venue partner for the program, a charitable organization that provides access to arts, culture, sport and recreation for kids. The arena will provide up to 1000 tickets, and United Way Halifax will work with Kids Up Front Atlantic to identify community organizations that would benefit.

Man arrested for reckless driving
A Westphal man has been charged after a complaint of reckless driving in Cole Harbour. RCMP responded to a Forest Hills Parkway parking lot just after 10 last night and found a car squealing its tires, among other things. The 23-year-old driver is up on impaired and dangerous driving. He already got a 90-day licence suspension, and is due in court August 8th.
