The province is making changes to Direct Sellers’ Regulations to better protect you and cut red tape for businesses. Continuing-service contracts will be limited to three years and allow cancellation at any time, fines for non-compliance will go up, and the names of non-compliant direct sellers will be made public. Changes will save the industry over $60,000 a year, and come into effect in the new year.
