Drone nearly hits Porter Airlines flight

Federal investigators are looking into a near miss involving a Porter Airlines plane near the Toronto Islands airport.

Two crew members suffered minor injuries when the plane, which was carrying 54 passengers yesterday morning, had to swerve suddenly to avoid an object believed to be a drone. The plane, on a flight from Ottawa, was just under three thousand metres when the incident occurred over Lake Ontario.

Prime Minister Trudeau says Canada can compete with the U-S when it comes to attracting international infrastructure money.

Trudeau met with some of the world’s most powerful institutional investors in Toronto yesterday. He said they are intrigued by how Canada is open and positive about economic opportunities….and the multi-billion dollar infrastructure plans of his government.
