Man Threatened with Knife at Halifax Bus Stop

Police are investigating after a man was threatened with a knife at a Halifax bus stop early Saturday morning. Police say shortly after 2am a 29-year-old man was walking by a bus stop on Willet Street. A man sitting at the bus stop stood up with a knife and told the victim not to move. the man was able to kick the suspect and flee the area. The suspect is described a 5-foot-ten, wearing a long black winter trench coat and a scarf over his face.

Man Assaulted with Tire Iron on Quinpool Road

Police are looking for suspects after an assault on Quinpool Road sent one man to hospital early Saturday morning. Police say a 35-year-old man walking with his girlfriend were approached by four men in a truck around 2:30am. After an argument, the 35-year-old man was struck in the face with what is believed to be a tire iron. The suspects fled in an extended cab grey Chevrolet Silverado towards the Armdale Roundabout. Police sat the truck had a burned out headlight and burned out taillight. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
