Giant Tiger says bags of PEI potatoes have been pulled from the shelves of its Halifax store after a report of a sewing needle found in one of the potatoes. Giant Tiger is working directly with its potato vendors on the matter and adds that customers who bought potatoes at the store can return them for a refund.
Halifax police are investigating but haven’t identified the brand or origin of the bag of potatoes.
