Sick fishermen airlifted to hospital

A lobster fisherman was aiflifted to hospital from off the southwest coast yesterday. The call went out from a boat off Clark’s Harbour that a 32 year old crewman was suffering chest pains.

A Cormorant helicopter from 413 Squadron was sent out to pick him up and fly him to Yarmouth General Hospital. The whole operation only took a couple of hours as emergency crews were on standby as the lobster season just opened this week and the weather hasn’t been the best.

New Glasgow doctor suspended after being charged with voyeurism

A doctor has been charged with voyeurism at a medical clinic in New Glasgow.

41 year old Doctor Rafid al-Nassar, who fled Iraq a decade ago, was arrested after a complaint from clinic staff at the Westside Medical Centre. Police seized electronics and identified people in the videos shot in a staff washroom, which was not open to the public.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons suspnded his license yesterday.
