Lawyers were in court yesterday arguing before a judge that Codey Hennigar should not be held criminally responsible for killing his mother and grandparents in their home in Wyse’s Corner in January last year. He hit them all in the head and then set fire to the house.

Both Crown and Defence lawyers agree Hennigar is not criminally responsible for three counts of second degree murder but they have to convince the judge of that as well.

Conservative Leader Jamie Baillie is attacking Stephen McNeil’s absence from cabinet meetings.  Baillie says McNeil has missed 36% of them since September, including the one where it was decided to close schools last week because of the pending work to rule by teachers. Baillie says McNeil seems to rely on his PR people to do everything.
