The preliminary results of necropsies on two of those North Atlantic Right Whales that died near the Magdelens show they may have suffered blunt trauma. The third suffered after getting cauht in fishing gear.
The discovery of the six dead whales caused concern because they represent over 1% of the estimated 525 endangered animals still in existence.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Ireland today for meetings with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar. They’re discussing the Canada-EU Trade deal.
Trudeau will also be stopping in London to meet with the Queen on his way to the G-20 summitt in Germany. There, he will be telling the other leaders about Canada’s new approach to foreign policy in light of the Trumnp administration’s protectionism.
