Halifax’s housing market seems to be heating up as HRM grows.

Municipal officials are processing more building permits than ever before. Figures from Stats Can suggest Halifax’s rate of growth per capita outpaced Canada’s largest cities last year.  Much of the increase came from international immigrants.

Engine problems have slowed the CAT ferry down.

It was tied up in Yarmouth Sunday while it investigated the problems with one of its four engines. Bay Ferries warned customers to expect longer transit times and possibly other cancellations.
