A man has been arrested after the second home invasion targeting a senior in as many nights.
An 86 year old woman was in her home with a friend Wednesday night when a masked man broke in, got some money and fled. Police tracked a suspect to a bus stop on Gottingen Street and arrested a 43 year old man.
They are investigating whether this incident is connected to another home invasion Tuesday night where an 85 year old woman was attacked in her west end home.
The first person convicted in Nova Scotia of human trafficking is facing new charges after allegedly threatening the 15 year old victim during a court appearance earlier this week.
21 year old Owen Gibson-Skeir is alleged to have mouthed the words “I’ll see you” and then made a shooting gesture with his hand as he was being led out of court after pleading guilty. He has now been charged with intimidation of a justice participant and uttering threats.
