Polar bears

About 260 people took the plunge yesterday morning in the annual polar bear dip at the wharf in Herring Cove.

Among them was 82 year old Arnie Ross who has been doing this for 21 years and says he has no plans to stop.

Organizers told CBC it was the best turnout since the annual New Year’s tradition began there in 1994.
