Weekends in jail for a Balmoral man

49 year old Joselito Ratte of Balmoral will spend a month in jail, to be served on weekends.

He was nabbed for driving his truck only months after an impaired driving conviction, as he was banned from driving for a year.

He also has to pay a victim fine surcharge of 100 dollars, and was again banned from driving for 12 months; that ban started last Wednesday.

Local clothing drives

Gently used clothing is being sought by the Tide Head School.

They are taking part in the New Brunswick Association for Community Living clothing drive.

In addition, Jacquet River School’s Spring Cleaning with Meaning Clothing Drive is underway for the same organization.

Donations can be made at both schools up to April 28th between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
