The Nova Scotia Supreme Court has ruled the demolition of hoarder’s house in North Sydney can go ahead. The owner, Sylvia Dolomont, had asked the court to halt the process after the Cape Breton Regional Municipality issued a demolition order on the home in January. The municipality had deemed the house on Campbell Street structurally unsound. The residence had been the subject of years of complaints about the smell of garbage, animal waste and rodents. On Friday the court ruled the demolition could go ahead.
