A teen is facing various charges after two people died in a three-vehicle collision on the Acadian Peninsula Friday night.
RCMP say there was a three vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Dugas where one vehicle rear-ended another sending it into the path of an SUV. A 72 year old man and a 57 year old woman in the car that was rear-ended died. A family of three in the SUV was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The daughter was later airlifted to the IWK in Halifax.
Three teens in the car that caused the collision took off. The car was found later burning in a gravel pitt in the Bertrand area. The youth was brought to the police station later by his father. He’s been released until a future court date on charges of fleeing the scene of accident causing death and obstruction by burning evidence.
