A former Deputy Minister of Justice has been accused of stealing more than $740,000 from clients of his private law practice.
The Law Society of New Brunswick alleges Yassin Choukri misappropriated funds from 10 clients between 2010 and 2016. Choukri was once a law partner in former premier Bernard Lord’s law firm and served as Deputy Justice Minister during Lord’s time in office between 2003 and 2006.
