Police and RCMP have released their latest statistics on vehicle-pedestrian collisions in Halifax. During the month of May there were 10 incidents of pedestrians being struck – down from 13 in April. Between January 1st and May 31st there have been 84 incidents of pedestrian being struck this year. Police say 70-percent of those incidents occurred in crosswalks. 44 of those incidents resulted in minor injuries and seven incidents resulted in pedestrians suffering more serious injuries.
