There was an interfaith service in Bedford yesterday to mark the end of Ramadan.
Bedford United Church and the Al-Rasoul Islamic Society Mosque are only a few blocks apart, but the event marked the first time they held a formal celebration together.
Imam Mohammed Al-Qazwin told CBC it was an historic day for him with the service full of warmth and compassion. Reverand David Hart said it was about breaking down barriers and dispelling stereotypes.
