It may not be the judicial inquiry they wanted but the health authority has agreed to meet with Lionel Desmond’s family next week.
The move comes almost six months after the former soldier killed his family and then himself in Upper Big Tracadie.
Desmond’s sister, Chantel, confirms the authority will meet with them at St. Martha’s Hospital in Antigonish to review how the health-care system dealt with Desmond before the killings.
