RCMP nabbed 37 impaired drivers around the province last month on National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day, May 20th.
The Mounties say more than 100 checkstops were conducted and 8,000 vehicles stopped. Impaired driving charges are pending against 14 drivers and an additional 23 were handed roadside suspensions.
Sgt. Chantal Farrah says impaired driving remains the number 1 criminal cause of death in Canada, but some people are still not getting the message.
