A Nova Scotia senator has been kicked out of the Conservative caucus because he decided to have dinner with the prime minister and other senators who had sponsored legislation.
Senator Stephen Greene, whose bill was about a taxation agreement with Taiwan and Israel, says other Tory Senators presented him with an ultimatum at this week’;s caucas meeting, prompting him to quit caucus. Greene issued a release calling the situation beyond silly and wondering why the Conservative senators wouldn’t want him to hear Trudeau’s plans for Senate reform.
