A minor hockey team from Glace Bay is the national winner of contest the rewards good deeds and good behaviour. The Glace Bay Pee Wee A miners were officially announced as the winners of the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup on Saturday. The team was recognized for organizing a Valentine’s Day event at a continuing care home n Glace Bay. Players also helped raise money for the a player on another team diagnosed with cancer. As winners, the 35-thousand-dollar prize will be shared with ten thousand going to the team, five thousand to the Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association, five thousand to Hockey Nova Scotia and 15-thousand to their charity of choice – Alzheimers’s Society of Nova Scotia
