Two people arrested in North Sydney have been charged with a crime spree that stretched from Ontario to Newfoundland.
The 33-year-old woman and 42-year-old man from Toronto were arrested after RCMP were tipped off that the pair were taking the ferry from Port Aux Basques April 9th. The RCMP say they recovered numerous stolen items including wallets, a purse, credit cards and IDs. Police also seized their rental truck. The pair are facing a combined 55 charges. Both remain in custody and will next appear in court in Sydney today.
