The City of Moncton has swapped cash and part of a parking lot for the lawn surrounding Castle Manor. The historic property off Mountain Road is currently undergoing renovations by a private developer that will save the building and convert it to high end condos. However, with the sprawling lawn property in front of Castle Manor owned by another developer the historic building had no road access. The city stepped in to but the lawn from Galco Atlantic Investments in exchange for just under 223-thousand-dollars and a portion of the Robinson Court parking lot. The purchase will protect the lawn from development and provide private access and public sitelines to Castle Manor.
