A 20-year-old man is facing numerous charges after an armed robbery at Sydney gas station on Saturday morning. Cape Breton Regional Police responded to Sobey Fuels on Prince Street shortly before 7am after receiving a 911 call. Police say a large knife and a cash register were recovered some distance from the scene with the help of a canine unit. 20-year-old Tre Damian Timmons of Sydney has been arrested in connection with the robbery and faces charges of robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, dangerous use of a weapon, uttering threats and assault with a weapon. Timmons remains in custody and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
