Is the provincial ombudsman looking into actions at CBRM Council? It’s not saying…yet.
Christine Brennan in the ombudsman’s office told the Cape Breton Post it does not confirm when it has received a complaint or whether it has launched an investigation, but she admitted if a complaint is received it is assigned to a representative for assessment and review to decide whether an investigation is warranted.
Rod Gale, head of a watchdog group that calls itself CBRM Council Club, says he contacted the ombudsman’s office to file a complaint after hearing an interview with three councillors who say they felt bullied in recent council meetings to approve port development deals.
