R-C-M-P say a teenager arrested near a Nova Scotia high school on a firearms call doesn’t appear to have been a threat to the school.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested at about 8:30 yesterday morning near Duncan MacMillan high school in Sheet Harbour, following reports about a gun-carrying youth on a nearby trail.
Corporal Dal Hutchinson says the school was quickly locked down but there’s no indication that anyone was threatened or any harm caused to any students or the youth himself.
Hutchinson noted it is hunting season, but couldn’t say if that was a factor in the incident or if the gun was recovered.
