A teachers union official says he’s opposing the tentative deal with the province.
Paul Wozney says it sends the wrong message about what the contract dispute was about. He doesn’t agree, for instance; with the provision giving teachers an extra two days off. Wozney says the dispute was meant to improve funding in classrooms and to support the special needs students.
Teachers will vote on the tentative contract February 8th. They’ve already rejected two previous agreements.
