A former vice-president at Assumption Life who is facing fraud and forgery charges has waived his right to a preliminary hearing, according to the Times and Transcript.
45 year old Paul LeBlanc, of Bouctouche, elected trial by judge and jury in September. Now the judge is giving him a few weeks to decide if he wants to change his mode of trial.
LeBlanc was charged in November of last year with six counts of fraud over $5,000 which dated back up to 15 years. Then two more counts were added last March.
