Provincial Conservatives think the Energy East Pipeline is in trouble after the release of the new parameters by the National Energy Board panel yesterday. It said it would be considering greenhouse gas emissions at both ends of the pipeline as part of its review.
The Gallant Government says that’s not surprising. Conservative Energy critic Glen Savoie told Brunswick News the changes amount to moving the goal posts and may put Energy East out of reach.
The Conservation Council of New Brunswick doesn’t believe it’s the final nail in the coffin.
